Pizza Dough Hot Dogs w/ Giardiniera

Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 containers of refrigerated pizza-dough for “dog boats” (or 4 hot dog buns If you need to simplify)
  • 4 all-beef hot dogs, Vienna or Hebrew National preferred as these blister nicely
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (or mozzarella + provolone blend)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • ½ cup Ronnie’s Giardiniera

Instructions

1. Make 4 small round pizza crusts from the dough and par bake them just enough that they can still be folded for the “dog boats”.
2. Fire up the skillet or grill — blister hot dogs until they’ve got that perfect game-day char.
3. Stuff each pizza dough bun with shredded mozzarella so it melts under the hot dog.
4. Nestle the blistered dog into its cheesy pocket.
5. Pile on Ronnie’s Giardiniera for the ultimate spicy, tangy kick.
