Ronnie's Giardiniera to Be Featured on NBC's TODAY Show for National Sandwich Month
For Immediate Release
SEATTLE, Wash. (2026) — Ronnie’s Giardiniera is excited to announce it will be featured on NBC's TODAY Show in celebration of National Sandwich Month.
The nationally televised segment will air on Thursday, August 13, during the third hour of TODAY, introducing millions of viewers across the country to one of Chicago's most iconic condiments.
Founded by Chicago native Ron Sievers, Ronnie's Giardiniera was created with a simple mission: bring authentic Chicago-style giardiniera to people who have never experienced it. After moving away from Chicago and discovering that the condiment was nearly impossible to find outside the Midwest, Sievers set out to recreate the bold, crunchy, flavorful giardiniera he grew up with.
Today, Ronnie's Giardiniera is helping introduce a new generation of food lovers to the condiment that has long been a staple on Italian beef sandwiches, hot dogs, pizzas, burgers, eggs, tacos, and countless other dishes.
"Being featured on the TODAY Show is an incredible milestone for our company," said Ron Sievers, founder of Ronnie's Giardiniera. "Our goal has always been to share a piece of Chicago food culture with the rest of the country. National Sandwich Month is the perfect opportunity to show America why giardiniera belongs on every sandwich."
The appearance comes as Ronnie's Giardiniera continues expanding distribution throughout the western United States while introducing consumers to a condiment that has remained one of Chicago's best-kept culinary secrets.
Viewers are encouraged to tune in on Thursday, August 13, during the third hour of NBC's TODAY Show to catch Ronnie's Giardiniera's national television debut.
